You obviously do …
You obviously do not understand the true nature of observing the Sabbath. We must “rest” from our labors as Christ did form his. Nobody is saying we have to attend Church to obtain salvation. The Sabbath is a sign between us and God.

I agree, the IJ …
I agree, the IJ theory was the fifth excuse they had come up with for 1844, 8 years later.

tell the sabbath …
tell the sabbath keeper if he ever miss ONE SABBATH….JUST ONE….why haven’t you been stoned because when you break the law you are stoned too death! I am a X- Adventist and I had to run from that church as far as possible!

Dr. Johnson is …
Dr. Johnson is correct! Look at the text Heb.9:12 in KJV then look at it in NIV. It’s clear. The NIV is misleading in many points.

But What Was HIS …
But What Was HIS Commandments? Jesus States Them As This 1.Love God With All Your Heart,Love Him Above All Things.
2.Love Your Neighbor As Thy Self.
I “Give You One New Commandment,Love Each Other As I Have Loved You.If You Do This You Have Fulfilled The Law And The Prophets.
A Little Different Than Keeping The Ten Commandments?

What’s all the fuss …
What’s all the fuss about QOD? Why were the evangelicals so interested in this “cult” vs “church” semantic thing? My viewpoint: evangelicals with a political agenda give a darn about SDA doctrines or theology. Their agenda is to put under the same umbrella of the conservative religious right all christian churches in America; the SDA Church remains as a rock against their interests, mainly to control the government to enforce their ideals. Delusion.

Johnsson knows …
Johnsson knows himself what Ford says is right, thats why he is almost choking here trying to back up the false teaching. The church is like a big ship, its going to take a lot of effort to turn it around.

4th commandment/ …
4th commandment/sabbath trashing is about the most obvious religious con job/deception on EARTH. Just compare how 99% of the church use ACTS 20:7 and never teach about ACTS 13:42-44, 16:13, 17:2 and 18:4. The usual text used is Col 2:16,17 and by many who don’t have a clue what they are talking about. If PAUL trashed the sabbath, why didn’t he warn all of those gentiles in ACTS to stop hanging around the Jews and come worship with him on the SUNday/Lord’s day??????? SATAN has the church sinning

how do you know …
how do you know that the sanctuary is a physical place with two apartments? maybe it’s just a metaphor in Heb 9. In 4G Jesus is called “the door.” Does that mean he is really a door?

Martin was not a …
Martin was not a biblical scholar and not a theologian. He was a popular religious writer and a comparitivist. His Mormon critics have even gone so far as to question the validity of his Ph.D. SO if a relative lightweight like Mr. Martin can go on the Ankerberg show and refure your whole denomination and its best scholars, how could you withstand the critiques of a real Bible scholar or a real theologian?

In spite of this …
In spite of this guy was very brilliant & critical, before he died, Walter refused to label SDA as a cult religion.. something must had changed his mind and convinced him.. wonder what it was? (ref: Kingdom of the Cults by Walter Martin)

was advetism arian …
was advetism arian in the 1840s or not? If it was, how how could it NOT be heretical?
If adventism was always “the remnant church” then how could it have been arian? You are ducking that question.

The 1844 sancturary …
The 1844 sancturary doctrine is not in the bible. Its a cover up to explain away the great dissapointment. There is no 2300 year prophesy in Daniel the day year princable does not apply here as Dan8:14 is correctly translated 2300 evenings and mornings and is refering to the daily sacrifice.Hebrews nine also states that Christ entered into the Most Holy of the Heavenly Sancturary at the cross. The 1844 sancturary doctrine is hum bug.
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
first of all …
first of all prophecy is validated by the word, how could it then hhave any authority to overide what it is already written, being tht it gets its authority by the word
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
Then we would also …
Then we would also have to throw out the 2300 year prophecy of Daniel… it would just not fit…so if we are going to do that then the whole bible will have to be thrown out because the Bible is consistent throughout… but people would have us believe that the Sanctuary message is wrong…hum bug…
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
I dont know you …
I dont know you would have to ask Him.He may well still be there who knows what time is like there.Wherever he is there is still nothing to support the SDA doctrine that Christ entered the Most Holy place in 1844 as Hebrews 9 plainly states he entered it at the cross.Heaven itself and the nature of the relationships of the Godhead still remain a mystery to us,and all theological ideas regarding it are just speculation.
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
Holysaturnius, you …
Holysaturnius, you are saying that Christ is no longer in the Heavenly Sanctuary?
Where is He then? Is He here on Earth right now?
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
Yes Christ entererd …
Yes Christ entererd in to heaven itself to appear in the presence of God for us.But Hebrews states that He did this at the cross, not in 1844 as SDA teach.Christ moved into the most holy of the spiritual sanctury and preformed the work of attonment ONCE as our spiritual High Priest not once a year, year after year as the earthy high priest did. This happend at the cross, and attonement and mediation have nothing to do with judgment as the 1844 doctrine teaches.
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
Agreed, the Bible …
Agreed, the Bible clearly states that Jesus died ONCE and for all.
That is not the discussion here. The discussion is what’s going on right now in Heaven.
Hebrews 9:24
“For Christ has entered into heaven itself to appear now before God as our Advocate…”
Are you against this statement?
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
Yes Hebrews …
Yes Hebrews mentions a Heavenly sancturary, but it does not support the Adventist theology regarding it.Hebrews states that Christ entered into the most holy once with his own atoning blood”…He entered in ONCE into the holy place,HAVING obtained eternal redemption for us”Heb 9:12.Christ moved in to the most holy place and done the work of attonement ONCE at the cross NOT in 1844.This from the Bible alone does not support SDA doctrine and proves EGW false.

Guys
There are so …
Guys
There are so many lies and false testimonies about Seventh Day Adventism.
That tells me one thing- Satan continues to work hard to warp the Truth…
For once, lets forget about the weak conspiracy theories about Adventism, forget about Ellen White, lets look to Jesus and His teachings.
What does the BIBLE say?
When were the Ten Commandments of God abolished?
1 John 2:4
4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
Hebrews is clear …
Hebrews is clear about the Heavenly Sanctuary.
Tell me, what is so hard to believe that the Bible is not clear about?
February 26th, 2009 at 2:12 am
The adventist …
The adventist people do wonderful work: great music schools, great parochial schools,
everything from health foods and vegetarian cookbooks to Loma Linda hospital and
missions in far-flung nations like Papua New Guinea and Micronesia.
However, it is simply too hard for an educated protestant
with a theological/biblical
background to buy into SDA unique teachings such as the investigative judgment and the heavenly sanctuary.
